Pre-College Initiative
The purpose of the Pre-College Initiative is to recruit. In order to recruit new members into the BES we have reached out into the community including both community centers and high schools, to show young minorities that becoming an engineer in today's society is indeed a possibility and it starts with having a positive attitude toward learning and attending college.
Join the Black Engineers Society (BES) in partnership with google for an introduction to college life at UMD as an engineering or computer science student. This experience will include information on the school as well as the departments, student panels, engineering activities, and lots of fun.
